The documents below reflect the status at various times of Harvey
v. Veneman, my lawsuit to correct parts of the organic regulations
of USDA.  By the time it was concluded, the name had changed to
Harvey v. Johanns, to reflect the name of the new Secretary of
Agriculture.  The suit was filed October 23, 2002, two days after
the Final Rule became effective.  At that time, I had no formal legal
representation.  During the appeal process, I was represented by
Paula Dinerstein.    Of seven counts in my appeal, the court granted
three verdicts in may favor.    It is not yet clear whether, or to
what degree, the rule-making ordered by the court in its final
judgement will be carried out.
